FAQ

How many GeoTubes do I need?

The amount of GeoTubes you will need varies depending on your operation's needs. It is recommended that you get enough GeoTubes that you can continue to sample while waiting for other GeoTubes to return from being analyzed.

How much soil does a GeoTube hold?

A minimum of 250 grams of soil is needed to fill a GeoTube. This equates to about six sample cores with a sample depth of 6 inches.

Do I get my GeoTubes back once they're processed?

Replacement GeoTubes will be sent back to you once your samples are received at a lab location.

To ensure you have enough GeoTubes to continue sampling while they are waiting to be processed, the replacements will not be the original GeoTubes that you sent in.

Replacement GeoTubes are inspected to ensure they are in working order before being sent back out.

Where do I process my samples?

You will be assigned a Radicle Lab to send/drop-off your samples when you create a Radicle App account.

The lab fee for analyzing is $9.75/sample.

Does sample information (field name, sample ID, etc.) need to be loaded on the GeoTube before sampling? 

No, sample information is automatically written to the GeoTube while in the field.
